Windows XP Support

Support for Window XP Ends on 8th April 2014

Support for Windows XP has been provided by Microsoft for the past 12 years. A decision has been made by Microsoft and its partners to invest these resources in the support of more up-to-date technologies that deliver greater benefits.

As a result, after 8th April 2014, technical support for Windows XP, automatic updates to protect the Window XP PCs, and Microsoft Security Essentials for Windows XP will no longer be available.

If you continue to use Windows XP after April 8th, your PC will still work but it will be more vulnerable to security and virus risks. Also, as software and hardware manufacturers continue to introduce new products for use with the latest versions of Windows, you will encounter a larger number of apps and devices that will not work with Windows XP.

If you wish to stay protected after the support ends, you have two main options. You can upgrade your current PC or if your current PC can’t run the latest Windows packages, you can invest in a new PC.
